PHOTOS: Lupita Nyong'o returns to her home country, Kenya

The award-winning actress arrived Kenya for a homecoming tour to a rousing welcome. The visit is termed #LupitaHomeComing which kicked off a few hours ago with a press conference.

This is is her first official visit since winning an Oscar in 2014. Lupita Nyong’o will be charging Sh10, 000 per person at a gala dinner she will be hosting next week. The gala dinner tagged "An Evening with Lupita" is part of the itinerary in her homecoming tour in Kenya.

Although the 10k Kenyan money goes to charity (Elephants conservation efforts) some Kenyans are bashing the organisers over it. Will bring that later, for now see more photos after the cut...
