Raccah is the brain behind the once-popular “Girl Power;” a
movement she spear-headed by organising and headlining
the first all-female concert tagged “Girls Power” “Unleashed”
and Girl Power Tour.”
As such, she is surely in the right position to assess the place of
female entertainers in the Nigerian music industry today. And
she believes they’re doing quite well compared to what the
case was years ago.
In her words, “The situation is far better than what it used to
be in the past. At least, we are getting a bit of what we
deserve. And this is not because any man created space for
us; rather, the female folks have taken their destinies into
their hands by becoming producers, directors, and owning
record labels.”
Sparing words of advice for the upcoming females in the
industry, she said, ‘They should know it takes a combination
of hard work, brains and beauty to make it. Sleeping around
will take them nowhere.’
